Technology has vastly changed the role of the librarian. Today's Media Specialists have become teachers whose abilities to teach research and technology skills are critical in working hand-in-hand with English departments and classroom teachers to equip our students for today's world.

Today's Library Media Specialists
--teach information literacy skills to help students become strong researchers
--work with teachers to support their existing assignments
--collaborate to create new assignments
--research projects to make sure sources are available
--put together projects for new curriculum .
--locate resources to support teacher/classroom needs

Library Media Centers Should Feed the Curriculum
and Serve the Faculty
Their Holdings Should Meet the Needs of Student Research Projects
